16610 Sub or 116710 GMT.....

Thinking of flipping my 16610 Sub for a 116710 GMT. Really like the polished center links on the GMT not to mention the solid center link bracelet and clasp. Any advice?

Why not? You can always go back to the Sub.

I think you might regret it...the 16610 would be my choice ...

I love the improvements of the modern pieces, that being said, I have a 16610 and considering it was my first I could never part with it. Go for whichever one speaks to you most, can't make a bad decision between either.

Sounds like the GMTc bracelet suits you more.

Put a SubC band and clasp on the 11610 like I did, the perfect watch.

You should weigh out the pros and cons and if at the end, the GMTc out-weighs the Sub, then do it. As long as the flip makes you happy. Personally, I would not do it as the Sub is quite a different watch than a GMT. I would save up some money and get a GMT in addition to the Sub.

16610 Sub or 116710 GMT.....

Just picked one up last week (GMTc) from a local AD here in Houston. I love it!
This is my everyday watch.

I've been considering a similar trade. It would be for my D series 16610 that I bought new for a 116710 blnr. I have this nagging feeling that I would come to regret that trade. If I decide that I can't live without the blnr I'll just buy it outright.

The most important thing is to buy and wear what YOU like. If you can afford the watch, and love it, do it!!!

I guess it depends on if you're more into the sub or GMT...I agree I like the GMT bracelet better than a 16610, but do you like it more than the subc bracelet?

I love the GMTc and am now a proud every day wearer. But I have to say, if I would own a Sub, I would try to hold on to it as a weekend/ beach/ activity watch if at all possible. I know it's a stretch, but maybe a preloved or other advantage priced GMTc comes along...

I would save up for the GMT rather than flip.
