You might throw a pic up on the forum.
A serif dial or PreComex would be a BETTER fit.

I would think it should be a pre-comex. As Serifs were supposedly up to around 4mil.
However, in the real world it goes like this....if you are buying, oh don't worry it could be a "Rolex" thing.
If you are selling , oh don't worry it's just a Rolex thing. But a purist would say no way....Clear as mud.

serif

You read that serifs were earlier, however, I have seen several 1977's with serif dials.

wouldn't have a huge problems with it all else being good ...certainly wouldn't be maxi ..

remember 4.3-4.9 is really a void ...the difference between 4.2 mill and 5.0 mil is almost consecutive ..it just sounds a lot.

Well yeah....Maxi's are more desirable ($) and one can pass it off, again as a Rolex thing.

Quick newly question; Why are Maxi dials more desirable? I would have thought the older one's would be more collectable?

Correction my first post should read non serif instead of serif.

I would pay a little more for a Maxi 1 dial because its one of my favorites. Desirability is more of a personal preference. I like them all.
