To try on a 5712R In LA/Vegas.... Sigh...

Hey Team,

So got to Vegas... saw the 5712 in SS... and as GORGEOUS as it is... didnt ROCK my world! I guess seeing as I have 3x other relatively nice SS Watches.. could be the reason. Tried on the ROSE GOLD 5980 and LOVED IT! BUT.... I think it was more the Rose Gold.. than the Chrono.. and cannot get past the $20k premium for a complication I'll never use.

So I think its down to the 5712R... problem is NO one has it in stock to try on... so I guess my question is does anyone have one in the Vegas/LA Region to which I could try on? (From the boards) Happy to buy you lunch ect or a Dealer that might have one?

The Other thing im tossing up is the full Rose Gold 15202 AP.. ultra thin movt... solid 18kt Rose Gold on the board here for $39k... Tried on the Black dial AP 41mm and it was nice.. but too big.. im sure the 39mm will be more my size

So yes.. thats my attempt.. throwing it out to the Boards.. if anyone has one I could see in the flesh before making this substantial investment!

Cheers Guy

Cass

I'd absolutely go RG 15202.

I have a gold AP on strap and that is as much AP gold as I can handle so I would go for the 5712R. I tried on the 5980R and absolutely loved it like you did, then I tried on the 5712R and 5980R together and have to say I preferred the dial of the 5712R and ofc with a much friendlier price I think that will be my choice next year. Before you make any decision make sure you try on the 5712R.

If you absolutely can't find one, maybe one of the trusted sellers here might sell you one with a one week test out for you to see and return it.

Try on the 15202 and see what you think. I tried the RG version and it didn't do anything for me personally. I'd stick with PP but that is just my opinion.

Thanks for your opinions guys.. whats your view on the 5980/1AR? The Blue dial two tone? LOVE the dial.. absoultely fell in love with it!!! BUT its same price as solid gold 5980 on strap... so thats a tough trigger to pull.. and we're still up 15k+ from the 5712.. which is solid.

If 5980 1/AR was $40k I'd buy it in a heartbeat haha

Please let me know your thoughts on potential resale value on a two tone... but that blue dial has my heart...

The blue dial is very impressive irl and reminded me of the famed sunburst Bluesy but the TT is not so sought after I was told and prices take more of a dive.

Yeh thats what I thought.... hmmmm maybe a Trusted Seller on here is looking to offload one? Its hard to see a two tone and solid gold in the same price bracket... its IMPOSSIBLE to justify to me two tone vs solid gold... sigh... why couldnt someone have a 5712R for me to try on???!! :P

Maybe a trusted will sell you one for a week's trial with no quibble return if you are very careful with it.
