Timegrapher Question

My timegrapher, when turned on, generally takes 2-3 "prints" of the timing measurement on the graph to stabilize. (I'm referring to when the timing result "prints" on the graph). Ie, the first and sometimes 2nd readings can be kooky, but they then stabilize to something reasonable. Is this normal behavior?
