I love "super cars". Thanks for posting.

I hope to someday be posting one if my own.

For now I'm happy with my 5.0.

Not sure if my ride can be classified as "super cars" as I don't drive the GT model, but there she was, photographed during cherry blossom season (March), on my old drive way under sakura tree, veronica flowers and thyme.

And, of course DD 118138!!

Been taking some car/watch shots...

One with the trusty sub no date and wheel and the other with the Daytona showing some texture variations in the car.

Sticking a picture of a watch in a thread clearly about cars DOES NOT make it a Rolex post. Why is it so hard to post in the correct forum????

Didnt mean to offend, but ive seen so many streering wheel, bmw, MB, whiskey, shoes, u name it with rolex shot, so naturally i thought it was ok. If the mod feels it's inappropriate, please move to proper section.

That's correct. So many of those Status threads that little to nothing to do with Rolex other than look how much money I have.

If that's the thread you want, fine, but be considerate of those that have a real interest in the watches and their history or the person trying to learn about a particular reference.

Just post in a forum more in line with the real content of the thread.

I dont think my intention was to show off how much money i have, certainly those cars r not even mine. That said we r showing off our watches that sometimes cost as much as those cars. Given so many car n watch threads in this forum shows the strong correlation for them. That said, being a member i should play by the rules. If u dont want to see more threads like this, why dont the mods ban them? Just a suggestion.

Oh, some have been. There are just so many over and over. Timezone went through this a while back with several members just being shown the door. TRF has always been much more lenient in it's approach.

As has been mentioned before it shows the new Rolex owner.

Count me out on this one

Don't want to get involved !

If that is what we suppose to do . . . delette the thread and . . . let's all move on . .

Because TRF is the . . . hard to find the words for it . . .

What should I say ?

The biggest no nonsense family ?

Great cars, watches, hobbies, G food ;)

TRF is part (or even more) of the die-hard members life !

Anyway or is for me ! ! !

But you should get involved. TRF has always been a place to share thoughts on any number of subjects. One of our Mods hit the nail on the head a long time ago. "The watches bring us here, the people keep us here"

The point is loading up the Rolex sub-forum with subjects that really have nothing to do with the watches, but sticking a photo of one in to "cover" skirts the whole point of having sub-forums.

If simple ownership of a given watch fills your wants that's great, but don't discourage the member looking for knowledge and collection resources.

How many have posted here and other fora this is the very thing that has turned many from a grand and historic marquee?

After just reading this if this is the actual feeling when we share things we love other than watches even if we "think" they may even go with watches, I from now out will never post another car, dog, wife, house or anything pic other than a watch so as not to be thought of in any way as showing off in a "status" thread

I humbly am sorry if any posts of anything would ever be taken as showing off or status I am nothing like that and don't want to be perceived as such
