Rolex Website - Dials?
Just a quick question that I've always wondered about.
Tried the search function but couldn't find a definitive answer. Why doesn't the Rolex website show all the possible dial options available for models like the Datejust? DJ2 specifically. Seems odd that they wouldn't have all available dials on the site. I was looking for a DJ2, fluted bezel, with the silver stick dial. The website only shows the blue stick dial. Even when looking at dials for the smooth bezel DJ2, they show black, silver, and white. I'm pretty sure I've seen a DJ2 smooth bezel with a blue dial. Seems odd that the watch you can find at any AD doesn't seem to exist on the website. |

The Rolex website is not the Rolex Catalog. As mentioned, you are expected to go into your Authorized Dealer, who does have a catalog, and sit down with them to order your dream watch.

Interesting to know this
I just assumed the website was the entire current lineup and that models not on the website are no longer being produced but AD still sells until they run out of stock |

Was just hoping there was a better reason for it. They even offer downloadable brochures for each model but still don't bother showing different dials. Seems lazy considering they already have the functionality built in to show different dials. Thanks.

This seems to be short sighted on the part of Rolex. Someone not in the know could conceivably look elsewhere for a watch if they don't see something they like on the Rolex website simply because all of the options are not showcased.
