116680 (Rolex SS Yacht-Master II) vs Diver ??
In the interest of full disclosure...I currently own a 26470or and a FC 44 Novelty. In the hopes of getting a more casual daily wear piece and not wanting to add a 3rd AP I convinced myself to get a 'classic' and purchased a SubC with date. And while I like and appreciate the piece.....it just doesn't 'do it' for me. Every time I look down at my wrist, I get a 'meh..its ok but not great' feeling, and after wearing my AP's I just can't get used to the smaller size (I have a 7.5" wrist).
Soooo...I have been contemplating doing something else and am considering moving the SubC for either the 116680 Rolex SS Yacht-Master II or a Diver. Again, in the interest of full disclosure, I have had a Diver before (twice actually , the 2nd time only for a couple of days) and moved it when, unexpectedly, something came up that I was waiting for. I really did enjoy the Diver and told myself that I would reacquire it one day (still have the bracelet for it) but am hesitant to add a 3rd AP piece and am thinking that the Rolex would be a better daily driver. My hesitation on the Rolex is the 'no date' issue and not sure how versatile the blue bezel would be for a daily wearer. Any thoughts (especially from those who have owned the 116680) or suggestions on other pieces I should look at would be greatly appreciate. TIA ! |

I am in the same sort of predicament, except I am thinking of getting a 26470or, and I have a SS YMll. I love my YMll and dont think I want to part ways with it. I love the wrist presence of it and feel. Since you have what I am looking for recently, would you mind posting a few pics of your 26470or!!

Will see if I can find one, I'm a crappy photographer. But as I stated in a previous thread, this is one reference that MUST be seen in person. I have not seen many photos that do it justice. This can be said for a number of AP's but this one truly exemplifies this. |

Tough one. Given your collection, I'm tempted to say the YM II, but the new white-faced diver has been calling out to me recently. It's quite amazing.
Good luck 👍 |

YMII I think overall is a nice watch, however I hated the yachmaster ii on the bezel :(
Skip the diver with the 44 novelty Go for a GMT BLNR :) perfect |

YM2 much more interesting than Diver (with movement 3120 without accuracy)
