Truth be told, it's okay. IMHO, diver best looks on bracelet or rubber, so it can be in its element in the water. 🍻

Looks quite nice. I see the diver as more of a weekend/outdoor watch for me personally so keep it on rubber

Nice is true but the fact really off. Shouldn't have a red stitching with black for AP diver. Gray, white or same tone better. Sorry.

Maybe white stitching would look better... However agree it looks best on rubber..

Nice looking, but I still prefer it on rubber/bracelet.
But if you like it......

To be honest I don't like very much sport watches with croc straps, even plain leather, really prefer bracelet or rubber, when I had my Patek 5726 on strap I never wore it with the croc strap but with the rubber strap, found it to be more adequate for a sporty looking watch

Not for me, definitely better on rubber or maybe sailcloth for a change but the shiny patent look of the strap and the red stitching is just too conflicting with the mostly brushed case and rubber crowns. Pics in better lightning might change my mind though. Nubuck might also suit the watch too if you still wanted to go with some kind of animal hide strap.

Not sure about the "Driver", but the Diver looks best on it's rubber strap.

I love an AP Hornback strap more than anything, but not on that diver, buddy.

I usually prefer Divers on rubber but as the numbered bezel is on the inside it works OK but better with white stitching.

I like hornback straps but the red stitching doesn't seem to work IMO.

I think the diver looks best on rubber or bracelet as others have also mentioned. Kudos to you for trying something new though, as long as you like it, that is all that matters!

I agree that would look great on the AP SS 44mm (even though the GP strap is the perfect combo for it) but on the Diver is only rubber or the bracelet for me. The Survivor silicon strap looks nice also.

I'm kind of surprised at the negative feelings towards putting a hornback on a Diver, given that it's a strap from a different ROO that has the same brushed/polished surfaces. If it's appropriate on them it's surely appropriate on this, same style of watch, only difference is one is a chrono and one isn't. Both have sufficient water resistance to allow swimming, and I doubt many people wear the Diver on dives below the 100 m rating of other ROOs...

Now wrt OP I don't like it only because I think that the stitching should go with the dial, i.e. a Panda looks great with a red-stitched strap because of the red elements on the dial, but here I think it would be better served with a white-stitched strap or black-stitched.

Anyway to each his own.

For me it was just the stitching. Hornbacks on the ROO Diver is awesome!
