My First Panerai - Happy Incoming!

So I start a thread not too long ago asking for opinions on the 292 vs. 505. I have been completely enamored and infatuated with both of these watches for about a year.
Here is the thread...

Anyhow, with a huge thank you to RUpanerai (Brian Lau), I end up getting a brand new PAM292. I could not be happier with it, and on a side note could not have been happier with the care and attention I received from Brian in purchasing the watch. I will post something in the feedback section about him ASAP.

This watch has exceed my expectations in every regard. It wears well, looks amazing, keeps excellent time (roughly +1 SPD over the past week or so), and has a power reserve every bit advertised.

I've put aside the OEM black strap for now and have been happily wearing it with a brown asso strap which is slightly fulfilling my fix for the 505. Best of both worlds right?

Here are some random pics I've taken since I received the watch. I'll add more when I can.

Thanks and enjoy!

I think you actually did it perfectly. I have been envying this combo myself. I like the sub seconds dial, no date dial with the brown asso strap. If I was going to go with a DLC or composite piece, this is the way I would go.

Over the last few weeks, I've come back to this thread almost on a daily basis to look at the pictures of your 292.

So much so that I've pulled the trigger on one (despite having a 380 on order too). Will definitely swap the black strap for a brown one too.

Anyone have solid recommendations for a nice brown strap?

Congrats! Great pics.

Makes me miss mine as well. I unfortunately had a dud though. Went back for service 3+ times, was never right, I got frustrated and sold it.

Your images certainly make me want to give it another go!

Huge congrats to you!!! My 292 has brought me just about as much joy as a material item could bring me, I hope the same for you.

I bought my strap from Panatime and IMO the quality is amazing, especially for the money ($50). I had an opportunity to buy OEM but after making such a big purchase I just didn't feel like adding salt to the wound with the cost of OEM. I wouldn't have mind spending upwards of $100 or even $150 but it's damn hard to find a 26/22 asso strap that fits the Radiomir well. Anyhow, in retrospect I wouldn't have done it any different!

Post some pics.
