Got my Debaufre GMT Ocean-1
I finally received my Debaufre GMT Ocean-1. After the Debaufre crew (Elsa) sent me the wrong version of the dial and bezel, I finally received the correct one. They also reimbursed me for the shipping cost of returning back to them. Again, Debaufre's customer service is top notch.
I used to have Steinhart GMT Ocean-1 but sold it - at the end of it all, I longed for it again . I even tried to buy it from the person that I sold it too, but it was not for sale, so I bought myself a new one. The GMT Ocean-1 is a homage to the Rolex GMT Master II, and the case size is 42mm. Oyster style bracelet with screws, not pins and has a good heft to it. The crystal is sapphire and it appears to have some sort of AR on the inside since at a certain angle, I see a dark bluish tint - similar to some of Omega's offerings. GMT hand is independently adjustable, which is great, and it sports an ETA 2893-2 movement. Watch is rated at 300m/1000ft, good enough for what I do sitting in an inflatable pool . Now for the photos. Outerbox Inner Box Watch removed from case Clasp shot Crown shot Caseback shot It still has the thin red line sticker Finally, the obligatory wrist shot Hope you enjoyed it.

Vernon, Great looking shots, but I don't know anything about the brand. I will have to do some research.

Nice looking watch. ETA makes good, reliable movements.
This looks rugged as they come and is a keeper. Terry Newton

Thanks Brian, Terry for the kind words. It started with Steinhart, and they changed their name to Debaufre about 1.5 years ago due to a another company in the US that thought it shared a similar name (I believe it was Steinhausen).
Steinhart's parent company is Grovana. Quote:

That's a nice watch Vernon - I read your earlier thread, and I'm glad everything turned out great and they took care of you! - I agree, I like the 'bar' 6 and 9 better than the shield as well, and the bezel looks nice and clean without the pearl. Enjoy it!

Like Vernon, I also went with the Debaufre GMT Ocean-1. The only difference is that I prefer Coke...
