Seiko lets you order Grand Seiko bracelet parts by calling their 1-800 number

I recently acquired an SBGE009 and it's lovely, but a bit tight on me. I thought it might be a bit of a task to get links for a Grand Seiko bracelet, but I was pleasantly surprised to be able to call Seiko directly and have the links mailed to me, no questions asked!

"To order replacement parts for your timepiece, please contact us at: 1-800-722-4452. We are happy to sell the following parts directly to consumers: bands, links, straps, clasps, batteries, and various band parts."

Just have the caseback number handy (or at least the model number) and they'll help you out. Note: If you have a Japan-only model (like mine), they will have no information whatsoever about it, so it's up to you to find a watch with an equivalent bracelet. I just asked for links for an SBGR057 (it's available in the US and has the same D308AB bracelet). They didn't even take any payment information so I assume there will be an invoice along with my 1.5 links. It would be nice if more companies let you order bracelets and links directly!

This is how it should work, our beloved Swiss brand can learn a thing or two from GS

Good to hear Rob, and congrats on that beautiful GS

Wish I could order a GlideLock clasp over the 'phone...

Beautiful GS :-)
I am happy to confirm from my own experience (with NYC Boutique) that their service and approach is exemplary.

Thanks! So the links arrived today (Wednesday) and I only called them on Monday! And...I guess they're free of charge; there's no invoice. Thanks Seiko!

I'm impressed! I've had my eye on the SARB033, Grand is a little rich for my blood.

Seiko USA will provide up to 4 links FOC, iirc.
I needed 3 for my Spring Drive, and whilst they would only send within the US (understandable), I got them sent to Arizona Fine Time, who were happy to post them over for nothing more than the postage itself cost.
Seiko UK however, were only interested in selling me the same 3 links for £75 or so, which may've been reflective of the watch originating from the US rather than the UK.
Whatever the reasoning behind it was, reimbursing AZFT meant I effectively got 3 for the price of 1, even if it meant having to wait longer before receiving them.

@Norman – cast your gaze a little further up the ladder. Have a look at the SDGM003 if you want something closer to resembling a GS on a budget.
You'll have to learn to appreciate or just overlook the cabochon on the crown, if doesn't appeal straight away.
