Arrived today my 1967's 5513 !
Finally arrived today...
Sub 5513 meters first, 1967. Dial, hands, long 5 fat font insert, case, all 1967. The RSC put a triplock 702 and new T19 some years ago, but seller gave me the original 24-700 crown and 24-7000 tube, and original dome T19... So, I prefer the 24-700 but don't know if it's not better to keep the actual one for waterproof reasons... I love it, fantastic condition and the patina is just awsome, not too white and not too yellowish. I'll have to find a 7206 or 9315 from this period to replace the actual 93150. Waiting for NATOs too :) I know a few things about this piece. I'm the 3rd owner, first one was a french soldier living in south east France and bought it in early 1968 and didn't worn it a lot, he sold it 38 years later to a french shop in Cannes. The 2nd owner (my seller) bought it in this shop in 2007 and kept it in safe at the bank since this time and never worn it, just sent it to RSC in 2009. Well, very happy to have it, this will certainly go to my son in some decades... |

Nice. I personally think '67 is the sweet spot for 5512's and 5513's. After the pointed crown guards but still early.
Very nice piece. |

They are out there if you look. Michael Young may be a source, as he is the repair guru for vintage brackets! Nice 5513 you have there! Personally I'd wear it with original crown, but then again mine doesn't go near water

That's a stunner. Congrats!
I too have a meters first 1967 5513. It's a 1,66M serial. I am wondering what number yours is.

Hope my watchmaker will manage to put it in place. I didn't see any gaskets with my 700 crown and tube, someone knows where I can get them, there are 2 gaskets I assume, in in the tube and one in the crown ? |

I love the dial on your MF 5513
I would personally wear it on the 93150 and keep your 7206 in a safe as you don't want to stretch it out. I wouldn't worry too much about the 700 crown and 7000 tube (yes there are 2 gaskets, one in the tube and one in the crown, hence the twinlock). The 700 and 702 have the same beautiful side profile, the only difference being the 3 dots under the coronet and 1 additional gasket. You say you're never going to go near water, but you never know when you might need to jump in water to save a life or someone pushes you into a pool as a joke.
