Used Rolex Question

If I were to buy a Rolex used no box or papers and can confirm that it is authentic and never reported stolen would I be able to contact Rolex SA and have myself assigned as the watches owner?

I'm not sure if Rolex SA cares about anyone beyond the original owner.

Thet don't do that, but if it is stolen, and the owner reported it to Rolex, and you sent it to a Rolex service center for it's spring cleaning, it won't be coming back to you! This info is from my working at a AD in college, might be different now.

Think that applies to all stolen goods,it belong to original owner,or if insurance has paid out on claim, the insurance company.

Rolex not honoring the watch or more importantly keeping it is my main concern. I can verify that it has not been reported stolen and will obtain a receipt including the watches serial number to prove my ownership. I'd like to be sure that if and when I send it to Rolex SA for service, I'll be recognized as the watches new owner and GET IT BACK.

As long as it's not reported stolen, I don't think they will care, especially if it's out of warranty. As far as I know, they don't ask for proof of title.

i asked the rlc the same question.. they said they will only honor the assignmnent if there is a notarized deed of sale from the original owner.. i guess that's if it's registered though by the original or listed owner... rlc didn't say anything about when it's not registered...

Used 14060M. I've always loved that watch. (I want to get a NATO Bond strap for it too. JJ keeps telling me how much he loves those NATO straps, so I guess I'll get one )
