Moon Phase
How does the MP work? Has anyone used it routinely?
Is it a complication that's worth the extra money? |

There are a few apps out there that can help you properly set a moonphase. Is it useful...I'm not sure many people on this forum actually use it as a tool regularly, but I personally find them, in most cases, aesthetically pleasing

I think some still uses the moonphase indicator but for the most part its just a beautiful conplication. Maybe a loss art as i look at it. I find them nice to look at personally

Use it only to help remind me of full or new moon. During full moons I tend to have poorer sleep quality, when I see the moonphase I get the "aha!" sensation.
Patek's own website explains how to set it. Esthetically any calendar watch is naked without it. |

I found it nice to look at with my Lange but did not miss it on my other watches. Certainly not necessary for me.

I could see it on a submariner if you were a fisherman... Beyond that?

Purely aesthetic for me, and definitely not used routinely. But it enhances the look (if it's done well), especially for a dress watch that has a calendar (whether a triple date, an AC, or a PC).
