Seiko simply brilliant

Here is a very brief review. Doing a few jobs around the garden and in the pool today and wearing this so called "baby tuna". What a brilliant watch! It's huge, a stainless main case with black ceramic "tuna" shroud, the uni-directional bezel moves with certainty, very legible dial, fantastic lume, looks insane, terrific rubber diver strap and brushed stainless keeper engraved SEIKO and has a scalloped shape back that hugs the wrist and is damn comfortable. It's a 4R36 automatic in-house Seiko movement that's apparently about on par with a standard ETA automatic. Seems to run within 5 seconds a day accuracy. It's a Prospex line SRP655K 50th anniversary edition, came beautifully double boxed, microfibre cleaning cloth and all and was quite sensational value. It's 50mm of outrageous fun but with great provenance. Thoroughly recommended.

Outstanding watch! Congrats and enjoy.

IMO Seiko makes some fantastic watches with endless fun associated with ownership of them. I love the Prospex line!

Perfectly suited for "themaninblack".

Very true. Whilst the following link is Seiko marketing it is interesting nonetheless. They are a company who have enormous experience and expertise in dive watches development and production. Consumers today are perhaps the fortunate beneficiaries of them being Japanese not Swiss!

Nice one.

I'm always watching out for Seikos. I can't believe I don't own one (but I do own a Timex!) and I'm looking at either vintage or new... But at the price, you can have both and still pay the mortgage!

You can't go wrong with a Seiko! The vintage 70's are awesome
