SMP Discount Expectations
I'm looking at a SMP 2254.50 and am wondering what sort of discount others have got when they have purchased this watch (or other Omegas). The first time I walked into the AD they almost immediately said they could include the tax (works out to a 14% discount).
Any thoughts on whether the non-coaxial watches will be further discounted to make room for the new models? Last edited by greck; 27 June 2008 at 10:17 AM.. Reason: S.P. |

They are still worth the same as they would have been before. For a watch that has been sitting as long as some of them I would certainly want it. Even on my new "Casino Royale" one it was over 20% discount, close to 30%. If they do not offer better walk and try other dealers. Omega is worth fighting for the discount due to it's short term depreciation. Happy hunting

Glad you checked in before taking the dive. Tell us how it goes and try different dealers. When you get it post some pictures.

Can you recommend an AD you've had a good experience with in Toronto.

Wow 30% off is pretty amazing, now I think you would be hard pressed to find that on a Rolex from an AD.
The AD told me earlier this week that 15% is the max discount on Rolex and only that much on models that aren't in high demand.

BTW, the resell value of Omegas are like 55-60% of list price, even for mint ones.
e.g. a Speedy sapphire sandwich 3573.50 list price is US$4500. On the bay mint ones go for approx US$2300-2800. |

If you are in the Woodbridge / Markham area try L'Oro Jewellery. The Vice President Hagio was incredible, showed me everything and gave me a bunch of catalogues. Their Markham location (markville mall) # is (905) 477-1273 If none of these are in your area tell me. Pretty much dealt wiht all either over the phone or in person and will be happy to guide you to the right place that will easily give you the best discount possible and the best experience. Stay clear of European Jewellery. If you truly want to know why send me a PM and I shall tell you. |

I suppose 30% can be had because I hear so much about it..
Personally I have never got that kind of discount except from a Grey Dealer. I don't think you see quite as much on the latest and most popular models.

I was given 30 percent from an A.D., but they will never advertise the fact. You have to shop around. You still loose money if you sell but in actual dollars you're probably no better of if you were selling your Rolex.
