they are both stunning watches!! but I do think the new SSC500 will replace the all SS version in most peoples hearts, especially when it hits the market

that said, I wouldn't have a desire to rid myself of the SS for the SSC as both as equally stunning!

great pic!!

Love them both. I've always wanted a Daytona but the scratched bezel always put me off actually buying one, so the Ceramic was a no-brainer the second it was announced. But that doesn't take anything away from the SS bezel model, it's a wonderful watch, just not for me.

with that sweater, both will do fine.

i do think, however, that the new black/white combo isn't as versatile as the prior version. that's not to say i prefer one or the other, it's just that the older can be worn in more situations, IMHO.

one of the reasons i prefer the black for the new DaytonaC.

Thanx Tom, all the credit goes to Watchanish...
The Ceramic looks always better in real life than on the photo. But judging on the photo the old Daytona is lil more sexier IMHO.

Wow, I actually like the SS bezel better with the white face. Maybe the black face will be different. Thanks for sharing!

When cleaned up, the full SS version will sparkle/shine a lot better, however, over time the ceramic bezel's longevity will show better. White dial looks a lot sportier while the ss bezel looks a lot dressier/flashier.

I like the 116500 better because it makes the the watch appear larger than the 116520. Having said that, my wife prefers the 116520 because it's prettier.

Love the new ceramic, not a Daytona fan but that speaks to me and more affordable that the 6263 I really want.

Like both.. they should keep both models and classify them as Men's Daytona and Women's Daytona!

The more I look at the both the more different they start to look.

SS bezel looks dressier while ceramic bezel looks sportier

To me Ceramic Bezel Daytona is a huge introduction and supplants the old one. Whereas I could take or leave the subc and daytona ss, the daytona c is just, got to have it. I may buy one new.

Ceramic looks larger as the SS bezel into case is broken up and more defined.

Daytona vs Daytona Ceramic side by side

I really wonder if Rolex will change the production volumes on the new one or keep supplies as limited ala the current SS bezel model.

I am keeping mine too, your post of the side by side actually helped me to see theyre actually quite different and compounded my liking for the shinier variant :)

The scratch proof ceramic is what this watch needed... I have never even really considered the Daytona, until now....

I don't have a SS Daytona yet. But it is my grail and been for a long time. But when I get a chance to get one, it will be the SS not the SSC.

This exactly....they both have their place.

It's almost like Rolex released a totally new watch rather than replacing one.

the cDaytona is light years nicer, looks more masculin IMHO and the contrast with the white dial is TOPS.

Ceramic by far. Looks cleaner and sharper. I love it.

It's probably my new favorite SS Rolex by far. Blockbuster for Rolex.

It's really a close call for me till I'm able to see the SSC in person.

But if I do get the SSC, I would still be keeping my SS white (my wife would be asking to hand it down to her though :) )

It will be even more limited supplie then now. They will bring the Daytona on the old level when you had to wait years to get one. See what they did with Deepblue en BLNR.
