Any thoughts / info on last years Heuer Chrono - and the new recent contest winner?
This duo sub-dial watch (with date) had some excitement around its launch last year...but at > $5k for a Heuer ( no Tag logo) I'm not sure how it's doing.
![]() They also just had a promo which let the public "decide" which watch they would reissue next year...ended up with a nice reverse Panda below as well. I'm betting it will go for much more than $5k. I hope they don't supersize this one. ![]() |

They do look nice. I tried on the 2015 release in Vegas last year. Nice smaller size as well. wonder what the used prices are now...

Wow, look at that condition, that is Paul Newman money I bet. They will probably screw up a re-issue with size, auto movement, fake patina, date, clear caseback.

That example is a beauty. I fear they may do a couple of the distasteful things you mention. I do wish they had left off the date on last years model. |

I do wish it was a two register chrono, but this could still be nice under 40mm

I owned this one for 10 years, it really was not much of a watch but it did look great, had an entire movement replacement 5 years in and lost more than a minute a day on the original and second movement, but it was indeed a manual wind chromo, think it was only 34mm, probably got more compliments than any Rolex ever has.

That's pretty minimalist / sweet. Just what I like about the old Heuers. Love the perforated racing strap as well. I have a similar one for my Speedy and Zenith. What a shame about the movement / timekeeping though. The forgoing is why I've resisted paying $$$ for vintage chronos like this. Too lazy to find myriad watchmakers to work on old pieces / scrounge for parts etc. |
