Replacing dial, hands and bezel.

Hey everyone, I am looking for some advise about possibly changing the dial, hands and bezel on my Sub 16800. I know EVERYONE says it cuts the value in half but I will not be selling this watch. It was passed down to me and I will pass it to one of my sons. I really would like to save the original parts and have a brand new dial, hands and bezel that glow. And I would expect my son when I pass it to him to get it re done to start its life over with him and so on down the line.

I'm really looking for possible costs and time involved. If anyone can help me with some advise and possibly a good place in Atlanta Ga to get that work done.

Thank you everyone.

Can't advise you where to go in Atlanta, but I would suggest that you try one of our vintage watch repair experts (Bob's Watches or ABC Watchwerks, Vanessa, Rikki, etc.) - not used any of them but after 8 years on the forum I've seen their amazing work.

You could also try messaging one of our Moderators as they have significant contacts/vintage collections and can likely provide you with solid recommendations on whom to send your watch to for the work.

If you go to Rolex they will replace the parts and keep your originals (unfortunately).

Best of luck and post pics.

Thank you very much! I'm really looking at possibly getting all updated parts but keeping the originals is a deal breaker for me. I have to be able to keep them. You have given me great advise. Thank you!

Replacing dial, hands and bezel.

There is a seller in Ebay called firstclassdials which is good and may have the parts you are looking for. (Guy contact name is John, can forward you his mobile phone if you PM me) Once you have the parts any competent watchmaker can do the swap for you, understand very easy to do.
