For me honestly I would rather pay a bit more and get brand new. The only caveat is if used watch is 100% pristine!

Also depends on how old as the age could mean it needs a service which immediately negates the price delta

Pre-owned, but only at $16K max, and that assumes it still has a decent amount of the original warranty remaining or been serviced in the past 2-3 months – otherwise the saving isn’t enough to make it worth considering.

New.
For 17.3k, I would only consider if it is less than six months old and no scratch. Otherwise I would rather pay more for a bnib.

If you can haggle the pre owned piece down to $12-14k range, then go pre owned. But how pre owned we talking about? Still needs to get serviced, has all the box and papers, etc?

Whenever the price differential is relatively low, regardless of what the product is, I prefer to go with the new. Go with the new.

New, plus Safari probably comes on leather so don't want used.
