White Gold Sub vs DD 40 WG Green Dial

Ok guys. . . the Rolex PM bug has me bit. I'm thinking about adding one or the other right now to use as a daily wearer to replace the BLNR. I prefer PT to WG but already have a Platona and don't like the DD 40 in PT. I also ruled out the BLRO already as I wasn't a fan of the bezel when I saw it IRL. Curious to know which of the 2 options you all prefer as a daily wearer?

WG Green dial DD40 all day long. Such a special piece and absolutely love it. In fact I have on my short list as well and if it wasn't back ordered now would likely have! Lots of WG Subs out there but I see no WG DD40 Anniversary dials and I personally like that.

I prefer the YG Sub with the blue sunburst dial over the WG Sub. The new green WG DD40 is simply gorgeous!

since you already own a PM sports watch, well PM sports royalty that is, i'd go for the DD40. The green dial is amazing.

Yes, this would be my Sub/DD combo.

OK. While I have to agree that the green dial is stunning, I am not much of a fan of the DD b/c of the lack of adjustable bracelet. I think it's crazy to have a solid gold watch, which is going to wear heavy, not have a great fit. Are you listening, Mr. Rolex?

So my vote is going to go with the sub here....although I agree with Neil and Kyung that the YG/Sunburst combo is what I would do (and did).

I like the dd option 100% to add to your paltona - can't think of a better Rolex powerhouse duo. Now one thing to consider, given the color on paltona - maybe pair with wg in the grey stripes or black sunburst for a more muted daily? Dunno, just my 2cents. I do love the green though, a beauty no doubt

Even thought I own a WG Sub and really adore it, for a daily use I would choose the new green DD. I think it is more appropriate for a daily

The DD40 WG Green Dial would nicely complement your Nautilus 5712 and Platona, IMO.

If the choice was a RG DD40 with green dial, I'd vote for that one. For some reason I don't like WG DDs.

I love the WG sub, it glitters in light and just has this beautiful sparkle that I adore. I think you can definitely wear it as a daily as it goes with every situation. Dressy or not.

I've always wanted a DD, but will never own one-can't afford it. So, this would be my choice.

Dd40 but I'd go with pt, what's wrong with 2 pt watches?

I'd say a 2-tone bluesey

But if I had to choose, the DD40 as you already have 2 blue dial watches and a Day complication is kindof rare

A dead heat in the voting but among posters, the DD is overwhelming favorite. Given the platona, I'd vote DD.

Daily wearer the 116619 works great. It's funny but PMs for me only work with certain models, like I love the WG GMTII and Sub but am not interested in WG DD. YG DD is great but don't like it in Daytona, which I prefer in RG, etc etc.

I agree going platinum would definitely have chosen the Daytona. I love the platinum DD dials but don't like the smooth bezel.

Here's how I see it -- you already have a Platona. If you get a WG Sub, then you have another PM sport model, but in what context would you choose to wear it over the Platona ?

The green dial DD40 is the more special watch and will complement rather than compete with the Platona

I would go Sub but only because I prefer sports watches to dress pieces
