Not exactly something to brag about. The nautilus is atrocious.

Im a HUGE Nautilus fan...but these new releases have NOTHING on the Jumbo. AP did it right and PP just missed it with these new ones.

You missed the best part--the stamped dates and diamonds.

Genta is rolling over in his grave.

I don't think these are even comparable.

The 40 year nautilus is just sad.

It took me 3 years to start liking the Nautilus design, but now I love it, limed the AP from the start, though 1 thing I don't like, the crown, it kind of sticks out on the side of the case, a crown guard would have been better IMO

My impression is that the Anniversary Edition Patek Nautilus Chrono is limited by its price, size and perhaps the diamonds.

If Patek released a steel model at under $50K USD for the Anniversary, I think people would have been all over it, despite the size or diamonds. However with the price at the $90K-$100K USD level, it is not an easy watch to accept.

The Nautilus has been violated. But hey atleast they kept it at a reasonable size. 50mm.

My respect for Patek is lost. May be temporary, but this is like a joke.

Really? I prefer PP but the AP is a beauty, just can't get used to the crown, but the rest is great

I thought it was made for Halloween as the dial looks like tombstone with skeleton bones as makers. No?
Anyway, Happy 40th years anniversary Patek!

AP won the anni battle hands down, if PP had kept the vibrant blue on a stick dial on WG with no dates on the dial then they would have won.

Jumbo by a large margin, Patek missed the mark big time with the 40th anniversary of the Nautilus.

So basically Paul called it. I was hoping he would be wrong and there would be something new and refreshing or even a precious metal version of a current line up (PT 5990) but instead they underwhelmed with their strange 40th dials and diamond markers. I will say I like the larger size and hope it's a sign of things to come. I just hope when the 40th chrono doesn't sell well Patek doesn't attribute it to the size and not the rest that's wrong with it.

Maybe it was designed for the dead in their afterlife. You never really own a Patek, until you die.

Is that metal backing thats visible behind the diamonds? If so, it just gets worse.
