Hesalite moon watch for daily wear

Thinking of picking up the original moon watch with the hesalite crystal. I am wondering how it would hold up to being a daily watch? Specifically the crystal.

Perfect for daily wear. It was my first watch, and I wore it daily for years. A quick treatment with polywatch every several months and the hesalite will look like new

Wore mine regularly. Hesalite does scratch easily but is easy to polish up. Get somy polywatch and itll look good as new!

Great daily watch but I passed on it as a main daily piece due to its low water resistance

if your not swimming daily its not a problem. the speedy pro can easily be washed with a tooth brush and soap under running water.

Oh I agree. Just remember to get the seals pressure tested every year or so and it should be fine. I decided to go for a Tudor with a screw down crown incase I want to head to the beach after work 👍

The Speedmaster is a little thicker, but I believe it's mostly due to the raised hesalite crystal.

If you can't get polywatch, then tooth paste or brasso will do, that's what I use, I can't get polywatch here in west Australia , and on line the postage cost more than the poly.

I would absolutely not hesitate to wear a Speedy Pro as my daily. It's probably the most worry-free watch in my collection. I take comfort in the fact that the hesalite crystal will take knocks and never shatter, and polishing it every six months has become a ritual that I enjoy.

I had a chance to pick up the moonwatch with hesalite - but I travel a lot and am hard on my things.

I found a sapphire sandwich brand new in the wrapping - bought that instead.

Sounds like the Hesalite will be fine, and IMO can be nicer looking then the Sapphire. Both will work, but in the end I end up buying the Sapphire front and back for peace of mind.

One of the finest watches for every day wear; wore mine for many years as my first quality timepiece.

Totally fine IMO. I noticed with hesalite/plexi crystals I'm actually less worried about the crystal because I know it's cheap to replace/easy to polish out. Sapphire is more likely to shatter and almost impossible to polish if you scratch/hit it hard....and more expensive to replace.

I wear mine all the time. In fact, it's the watch I most often wear to the pool or the beach. Never have had an issue with water infiltration.

Have had mine over 20 years - no probs at all though I do not put it into water nowadays! Just don't see the nee to chance it. That said, have worn it everywhere without issue. Highly recommended!
