Rolex - Interim Updates?
One of my favorite features on my GMTIIc is the clasp - it feels very substantial and very secure and I don't think I would be satisfied with less on a future purchase.
Question - does Rolex ever begin to incorporate items like this on current models (i.e. Explorer I or sub) or do they always wait for a total makeover?

Sure they do..
Explorers, Air-Kings, and the DJ's, TOG's, and Oyster Perpetuals all have the latest clasp.. I think the Professional line-up are the only ones that haven't got the latest clasps... But I expect the entire line will have them by next year.....with the possible exception of the Sub because it will be getting the latest Glide-lock as shown on the newest Gold models and the DSSD..

That is what I am trying to find out. I cannot locate a picture anywhere of the clasp on an Explorer I (M-Series or newer). Rolex website says Oysterlock bracelet with safety clasp. I guess I'll go to an AD and just take a look.
