Incoming: What dreams are made of
After having my first child in June, I took a step back from our crazy hobby. I parted ways with a number of my watches knowing that I wanted to take my watch collecting in a slightly different direction (I regret one sale on the vintage side of things badly!). After being involved in the hobby for 8 years I like to think I finally know what watches I want to collect and own! There are a lot of watches out there, but so few that are really a right “fit” for the person collecting them.
By owning a 5070G I learnt to very much appreciate the oversized Lemania powered Patek chronograph. As things do, one thing led to another and here we are. Special thanks to Gagan of @Elitetime and to @goog53 @HL65 @FremStar @Racerdj @hairdude @jetkopite @jaselle @unknown @paverman @subtona @5512vs5513 (probably forgetting half of the folks I have nagged over the past year to "talk watches"). Fun fact: this watch has only sold at auction 15 times in the last 7 years. One day, when I have free time in my life again, I will break out the Leica and take some decent non-iphone photographs of this legend-in-the-making-of-a-watch: the one and only 5070P.
