My new to me Patek 5035 Annual Calendar

My last purchase for 2016 thank God. It's been a hard year on the bank account. On a serious note I hope everybody can at least try one of these absolutely beautiful and elegant pieces in the collection at least one point in time in their life. I am blessed to have found this excellent example of the Patek 5035 Annual Calendar. It came complete with box and papers and all original books. This thing looks brand-new. I hope you guys like it.

Lovely watch
Congratulations
PP's first annual calendar
In some was more useful than a perpetual calendar.
I love my 5035P.

Thanks guys. I was worried about it possibly being too small but I think it looks great on my 6 1/2 inch wrist. Very elegant.

Looks great on your wrist and it is definitely a classic being Patek's first AC. Wear it in good health.

Something interesting about it though. Of course I stayed up until 1 o'clock in the morning last night and I noticed it took an hour for it to switch from the 31st to the 1st. Anybody else own one of these? Is that normal? It has a lifetime warranty on it so I'm not worried about it.

My 5146J which replaces the 5035J takes 90 minutes. Your 5035 is fine. We discussed this a while back. It is perfectly normal.
Happy New Year. Wear the 5035 in the best of health. It is a great watch.

Perfect fit. I have a 6 5/8 wrist.
Beautiful pics of the AC on your wrist.
Happy New Year

I wear a 37 mm 5110J. It fits perfectly.

I bought it from Capetown Diamond in Atlanta. They will honor a lifetime warranty so long as you get it serviced by an authorized ( preferably them ) Patek service center every 4 to 5 years like Patek recommends.

Beautiful watch and a perfect fit I'd say. The 5035 was the world's first AC and was "watch of the year" when introduced in 1996. Hard to believe it's now been over 20 years!

Regarding the lifetime warranty, it sound like a bit of a bait and switch. I didn't realize that AC's were serviced outside of Geneva, and who actually does the service- capetown? Are they certified by Patek to work on these watches and do they have a parts account with Patek? What do they charge for this every 5 years? What's actually covered under the lifetime warranty, only manufacture defects I presume. Not trying to rain on the parade, but I'm always suspect of these "lifetime warranties" and what they represent.

Regardless, it looks like you've found a beauty, and fwiw these are relatively trouble free when properly cared for. Congrats!

No worries about raining on my parade. :-) The lifetime warranty only includes labor for the first year. After that you have to pay for labor but not parts. You also have to pay to have it serviced every for five years. They have an absolutely incredible selection of timepieces and jewelry including lots of Patek and Rolex. Their clientele include the senators and governors of Georgia as well as many celebrities. They started the business in Beverly Hills and then moved to Atlanta. Their founder recently passed away and now the business is being run by his son and his family. So as you can probably tell I'm not worried.

Thank you all for the compliments. I wish you could see the piece in person. It's absolutely stunning.

Congratulations, I love the AC complication.
Fits your wrist, nicely.
What's the lume like on the numerals and hands?

Thanks Brett
Pretty good for a watch that is approx 20 yrs old.
Does the lume last through the night?
Though not a fan of Roman numerals. I have been thinking about getting either the 5035,5056 or maybe a 5146 in Platinum.
Though, would have to sell a couple of pieces plus cash to achieve

I had to sell a couple of my pieces to get this as well. It's funny because I like the Roman numerals on this example. I have been staring at Patek annual calendars for a month now. In my opinion the 5035 has the best looking dial.
