Yorkshire Dave the man!

Well done Dave, you beat off Toph to be the winner of the Premier League Prediction. Looks like Spurs have a lot to do.

Its the journey my friend and at least the view as I go along is beautiful. Better to take part, and have a chance of winning, than to take part and make up the numbers

What is it about Spurs fans and their obsession with the top 4? Usual Spud pre season hype about breaking into top four, after four games those dreams buried for another season, revert to type and drunkly lash out saying top four doesn't matter

Ere I never said nuffink about the top 4....I'd like the FA Cup...that still means a lot to old J.

Top 4 is where it's at though...supposedly the prize fund is huge and Arse won more when they crashed out of the champions league (almost every year) than the actual winners of the UEFA cup!!!!!!!

Plus playing in the champions league is the draw for players...the fact will always be that players will go to a champs league playing side.

Twas the case with Berbs and the Irish Judas!!!! If they were playing for us last night, we may have had a chance but alas, they want the grand stand football and spurs can't offer it!!!!! Same will happen with Hutton and Bale!

We had a chance at top 4...we missed it by a whisker and are now paying for it!

The only way I can see this resolved (spech will all this weird new mega investment) is for the champions league to be solely for the champions...do away with the group stages and just allow a handful of champions in each year!

That can be the only way that the non top four clubs can stand a chance of having any hope!!!!

Hand on your heart Martin....do you think Arsenal are good (and strong) enough to win the premiership?

I think if we are injury free we are in with a chance, probably more in Champions league than Premiership. But given that Van Persie picks up a knock in every game he plays and Nasri looks the same..............

Cesc and Adebayor are key, our centre backs are not as good as Chelsea or Man U at defending but are more creative attacking. The Arsenal full backs Sagna and Clichy are best in league in IMO.

I think we are a bit light in centre midfield but come January I think we will strengthen. It will be interesting to see how Denilson handles the pressure he or Song will be Cesc's partner I think. Another weak area.

Walcott will play some good games and others he will be inconsistent. Some great youngsters coming through like Vela, and the youngest ever league for Arsenal, 16 year old Jack Wilshere, will play a bit part role this year to gain more experience - that boy is class and could spring a few surprises.

Eduardo and Rosicky to come back from injury and Silvestre as cover.
Its a pretty talented squad that is going to spring a few surprises.

i think Wenger is an exceptional manager and Arsenal are wonderful to watch, but over the course of this season, I don't see them being strong enough. They might well beat, Man U, Chelsea etc but i think they will drop too many points elsewhere.

I wouldn't write Villa off for a strong run at a top 4 finish. MON is carrying on the Clough legacy and quietly assembling an excellent team.

Best of the rest, and spot on about the Clough legacy, the way he man manages is a real throw back

Gerrard has just scored an incredible goal for Liverpool to equalise against Marseille

I just looked and Captain Fantastic has another!

What MON did at Leicester was nothing short of a miracle. He seems to be assembling the alternative England team.

Spurs go down....get a grip you laughing Manc nob....we're 4 games in...never heard such bollux!

Spurs will be lucky this year....lucky that there are worse teams than us. We are notorious for grinding out a result that matters...see 1-1 against chelsk etc.

I can't see Hull or Stoke doing that.

I think both Spurs and Newcastle will stay up...whether they deserve to will be another matter!
