Rolex box size!
Just wondering if there is any rational behind what size boxes certain models get?
Only ask because my new Sea-Dweller 126600 came in a small new wave green box where as my old DSSD came in a much larger wave green box?!?! Obviously they get delivered to the AD in the plastic coffin with the warranty and tags in there so is it up to the AD to match it up with a box of their choice at point of sale? Gratuitous pic from this morning, Well it would be rude not to!

Oyster S = All SS
Oyster M = TT Oyster L = PM Green Box = PM Sky-Dweller Of course, some dealers just pair whatever box they grab off the shelf for your watch, though that typically only happens between Oyster S and Oyster M. |

That makes sense. My SD has an Oyster S as it should then.

The AD uses their own discretion.
PM usually will always get a large box. I received my DBlue and SD43 and BLNR in Medium boxes. My DJ 2 came in a small box. I dont think there's a standard across the board for which box is used. |

I don't care about the box, but it's annoying that the documentation doesn't fit inside the smaller boxes.
Also, they need a nicer box in general. It's Rolex, it should come in a nice wooden box. It's meaningless, but presentation matters. No reason for brands that are considered lower (Omega) to have nicer boxes. |

The 116610LN came in a bigger box than the 114060. I guess the date needs more room.

I just dug out my boxes to check, small on 16610 and SD4K, they aren't great and the 16610 took some pulling to open, stuck shut, edges had stickiness on them. Always stored in a dry area.
Don't know how to clean it without removing the green colouring?! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

My new SD43 came in a small box. I questioned the AD as the booklet packet doesn't even fit in the lid. My DSSD Blue came in the larger box.
They said it was a mistake and swapped it for the larger box.

This is the box of my DSOTM for example. It looks way worse in photos than life, the thing is fantastic. I'm thinking of getting a Rolex now, and while the box doesn't really make a difference (it's all about the watches) I have to admit that it does give the perception you're not getting as much as you could for the [big] money. |

I actually prefer the same box. Easy to store hahahaha!
I've seen most of the SD43 or SD4K or larger Deepseas with the Medium boxes. |

I like the smaller boxes... more room in the safe for more!!! Now, just to win the lottery so I can further my "hobby" lol
Although, it would be nice if the large boxes came with more slots and you could put multiple watches in there... just a thought

The white tag designates which box should come with your watch.

Indeed!! That box is a monster with enough room for several watches...wow! Also true that Omega makes some wonderful wooden boxes with red velvet inside for a beautiful presentation (PM only). Cheers!

Omega can keep their big boxes... The box my 114060 was way bigger than it has to be, bit it is still considered small.
