Icon14 I just bought my first rolex! 116618

Ive wanted this watch for 5 years. Its pretty much the first watch i've owned since a kid. Got it a few days ago and i'm in love. A bit disappointed though how i managed to scratch the crystal already.

That's pretty odd that it scratched so quickly.

Nice watch - congrats.

I bought my sub about 5 weeks ago. Got 2 tiny hairline scratches on the crystal (only really visible in direct sunlight) in the first week. No idea how. But I'm enjoying my watch.

I really think it is a myth that only diamond can scratch the crystal on these watches as my watch has definitely not had any contact with diamonds

I don't know if it is possible polish out microscratches in sapphire crystals, it may be possible, perhaps someone can make add more information...

Gorgeous, and great taste. Lots of bling out there, but the gold sub is the tops in my book.

Going all in on number one! Love it! Don’t sweat the scratches, there’ll be more to come.

Congrats and welcome to blue sub club, epic piece!

I would give it a month and see it the scratch still bothers you, on the crystal is a bummer I admit, and if so then have Rolex replace it.

Beautiful watch, congrats. A sapphire crystal can be scratched by a material close in hardness if enough pressure is applied. A normal kitchen fork drawn across glass will not scratch. Apply lots of pressure, different outcome.
