Watch Reaction Formation

For years I've sworn that I have no need for a Daytona. I just don't need a watch that is part stop watch...I'll never use it. Maybe some of you remember this in my posts. In the back ground I've been checking out Daytona in B&S, eBay and other sites and saying "no," not for me. Well, a bit over one week ago I ordered and received the Daytona C and I just cant say how thrilling it's been to wear it. I don't want to take it off my wrist and wear my other watches. I know this will pass but for now to me it is an amazing turn around.

Anyone else have a similar story about watches they initially avoided and later fell in love with? I'll spare everyone photos as I've been posting too many of it.

Congrats! Pics please!
I wanted a Daytona from the minute I knew what it was, a SS black dial was my grail. Getting it was, I'd imagine, how you feel now.

It was the Rolex brand I stayed away from for a while... but then when the dam bursts you end up with 39K posts!

First off, congrats! AmaZing watch.

And yes, almost the same story. Daytona? Too small, no dated, too shiny, etc.

Fast forward, ceramic bezel perked my ears, when I finally got it on the wrist I fell in love. Might be my favorite watch now. The size is fantastic, got over the lack of date, ceramic bezel makes it much more versatile IMO.

Hm,

I really like the daytona.
I tried on a WG one with a leather strap and i'd be lying if i said i don't think about it.

I'm also not sure if i'd like the white or the black dial better, but the last few days, i think i like the 520 white the best.

To your question. Although beautiful, GMT didn't do much for me at first, but it grew on me, and one day i'll have one. Although i think it should be the red/blue, i'm more of a red black type of person. Something to look forward to.
LVc grew on me too, although far outside my comfort zone.

I'm waiting for this to happen for me with PCL's. A black dial Daytona might just be the one that forces my hand (or wrist, as it were).

We all love brushed subs. When you cycle through and try a bunch, the pcls and flutes make more sense. It's a maturing process through the different models.

I waited and was hopeful a DaytonaC would be released. When it did I had to have one. It is on my wrist more than any other since I got it.
