1200 is thin.

why not go swatch system 51 for a lot less.

In house for 1200 dollars

Closest I know of is Nomos at $1600 on a manual wind Club Campus.

I am all for in house but not sure it’s that important to me if all I have to spend is $1200.

A lightly used Nomos with an in house manual wind movement can easily be had for $1200. Great pieces they offer!

If you're patient you might get a Frederique Constant with a manufacture movement for around that price. Grey market price for some if their Manufacture movement watches are around the $1500+ mark, so you might get lucky and find a used example for slightly less.

Unless you're exclusively seeking a Swiss-produced 'in-house' mechanical movement, you really can't go wrong with a Seiko. They're well-made and have highly-monitored QC standards.

Orient and Seiko would be excellent choices, if the primary concern is the in-house movement.

I'm very happy with my Seikos and Orients.

Yeah, you can't go wrong with a Seiko or Orient as many suggested above

I will agree with Grady. All my Seiko have been great watches.
