Luminox

Went to the mall today here in Austin and found a Rolex dealer (Ben Bridge) in the mall. 0% discount, no budging whatsoever. They had the new QoS Omega for $3800 too. Nice, I wanted it, but I have learned from here to ALWAYS get a discount!

So I went over to RUSSELL KORMAN COMPANY here in Austin. THEY HAD THE SUPER AVENGER BLACKSTEEL! Drat! It is $5300 but I have just bought way too much! Gah! And it is beautiful too!

Lesson learned: NEVER SETTLE. I got the Skyland Avenger and settled since I could not find the Blacksteel and have seen three since. The Super Avenger is 48.5mm!

But while looking around I saw the Alaskan Omega and lots of other watches. Then I saw it! The style I have ALWAYS wanted!

A ways back I said that I wished that the bezel on the GMT II was gray, not black. I wantd gray numbers, not black, or white. I even worked with KOBOLD to try to get a gray color. No dice! But someone does it after all...

I got the hat free as a gift. Aren't all gifts free? It is too small for my fat head too. I'll save it for if I visit a nudist colony.

Check out the cute little carrying case! And without any further adieu...

Here she is close up!

Cheack out this real neat dial!

Real nice rubber strap as well:

Okay how about a wrist shot. I bet Bluesy never before thought to be off my wrist so soon:

It has a very nice buckle:

And here is the stuff on the back:

Maybe I will get a lume shot later when it gets darker around here. But YAY I have a watch with lots of gray on it! And to think it was only a <$300 purchase too!

Did the dealer show you the lume using a special little flashlight? It glows like nothing I've seen.

Actually they had a little shadow box they put it in. It looks wonderful! I even wear it to bed. It is light enough to not be bothersome and the time is easily readable, even more so than my Panerai.

This is VERY RARE! They never had a gray one before, I got it the day it came in.

Thanks for the info Robert. I called and they had just put everything in the vault for the weekend. I'll call back on Monday.
