Yoga anyone?
I recently took a yoga class and really enjoyed it and it is much more than I imagined. Yoga will now be part of my weekly routine and I am hoping it will help me with some of my other goals as well
Any other members do yoga? Sean PS - before any men accuse me of being a "sissy" for taking yoga - just remember where me and my Sea Dweller have been

Started Yoga in 2000 when I was hired to run a company that sold yoga products. Our main competitor was Gaiam, who started out as a customer. I practiced many forms, but as I am OLD; I only practice Hatha Yoga and do my sun salutations every morning. Let me know if you have any questions about props, mats, and such.

Thank you. I have been doing indoor rock climbing for many years and have been using Prana products and apparel. Prana actually led me to look into yoga and I bought a Prana mat and mat holder as a result. Hatha yoga is what I will be practicing as well Sean

I used to do it daily and need to get back into the routine. My wife spends at least 1.5 hrs. per day at it.
I'll start this weekend!

I've only tried yoga once, and it was "hot" yoga so I hated. I've wanted to get back into it though, as well as pilates. Apparently, that's how all of the stars stay fit, so I'll give it a try!

I was looking for a change in my routine and this really seems to fit my lifestyle very nice. I think it will also give me the physical and mental mindset to achieve some other goals I have set for myself.

When my son was 5 he started taking karate classes. My father once asked me why I would want for him to learn karate and told that he could stretch and exercise using yoga without all the yelling. Um... kids like to yell and break stuff.

My wife has been practicing the Hatha and Kundaline for 15 years. She's been encouraging me to join her but I never tried as I prefer to work out at the gym.

I agree....key word...ROUTINE! Once I stopped it was so hard (and sore) to get back into it. I do road biking a lot and it was great for my back, but once you stop, forget it. I have to get back into it.

Vinyasa is wonderful because of its fluidity. I just did an Iyengar class this morning, which I find to be less of an aerobic workout, but very therapeutic for my aches & pains. Thankfully, the gym I go to offers all types of yoga, as well as Pilates, which is incredible for strengthening your core. That expression made no sense to me until I'd done it for a few months, after which I began to feel more connection with my abs/body than ever before. Enjoy! Quote:
