First rolex new batman or bluesy?

Hi Guys,

First post here. Deciding on my first Rolex and I’m down to a new BLNR which I’m on the waitlist for or the Bluesy... 16613

Should I just wait for the Batman whenever that is or get the bluesy now?

I feel I can’t wear the Bluesy everyday like the Batman.

Real world problems.... lol

Thanks guys!

Haha, sounds like you're leaning towards the Batman so I'd get that! I had a two tone sub with the black dial. Loved it but parted ways as I wore it maybe once a month. Good luck!

If waiting a bit gets you what you REALLY want, then wait! Never settle! Especially with watches!

Good luck!

I always say buy what you want the most. As in, put it on your wrist and buy the one you just can’t put down.

These days it’s virtually impossible to find stock.

I own a bluesey and I wear it the least probably. It’s a real stunner but it’s a bit blingy for me.

Having said that I never liked the BLNR despite trying it on twice. I have the older GMTs and a green sub which get more wrist time

Again only bought because I loved them — not because they are popular. At the time the green sub I mentioned wasn’t really that popular.

Bluesy all day every day...except for I would go 6 digit for the bracelet and glide lock.

And...wear it every day? Abso-frickin-lutely.

EDIT: As a matter of fact, let me give you the world's best watch duo option. Bluesy and BLRO. You're welcome.

First: You can wear what ever you choose when ever you choose. I wear my YG Sub every single day. I love the YG. I love how it feels on my skin. I love how it looks. Do people notice? Yes. Every comment is "that is the most beautiful watch I have ever seen." The ability to wear any high end watch SS, TT, PM is all about your own confidence. If you are confident enough to wear that distinctive Blue/Black bezel the TT with the blue should be no different.

Now, When I bought my watch I also looked at a YG GMT. I went in wanting a GMT (I travel and love the dual timezone feature) but I preferred the blue face on the sub. It changes colors and is very interesting in the light. But the difference between the GMT and the sub that swayed me to the sub is the bracelet clasp. The guidelock is the bomb. I am looking for a TT Skydweller right now and my only question is will I like it without the Guidelock.

If the GMT had been offered with the Guidelock, I might still be standing at the counter trying to decide.

Get the watch you want (which sounds like the BLNR). That's the watch I wanted for weeks and when I finally put myself on several waitlists, I got it in a couple days. Get your name on as many ADs as possible, and it'll come sooner than you think.

Not worth buying a Rolex and later regretting it!

I say this from experience. If you’re looking at an 16613 or 116613 and there’s even a remote chance that you’d want a YG 116718, I’d continue saving and go straight to gold. Wish I had. It would have saved me a lot of money.

BLNR is the smartest buy. If you change your mind you can always flip it for a bluesy and even pocket some $$. If you decide on the bluesy first, and decide to flip it for the BLNR then you’ll be paying extra $$.

I wanted the bluesy for the longest time and BLNR as a back up, but when I tried on both I knew right away which one was the winner (BLNR). It might be hard to find a BLNR to try on, but I would def try to try them on before purchasing.

Take the BLNR. Not so shiny as the sub. But shiny enough.
Better everydaywatch imho. The bluesy next!

Can't go wrong with either - two of my favorite models! I personally lean towards the Bluesy, but if this were to be my one and only piece, I might consider the BLNR, as I feel it would be a better fit as an everyday piece. That's my take, but obviously, that's totally subjective.

I’d buy a mint gently used Bluesy. Let the first owner take the depreciation hit

6 Digit Bluesy over the BLNR any day of the week.

No comparison when you look at them next to each other. The bluesy is so much more beautiful.

Buy whatever you like better. Forget what other people think.

It's your watch, not theirs.

But for the Bluesy though, I would go for Ceramic, because the titanium bezel is going to fade and look ugly over time.
