Trusted Sellers?

This is a newbie question. Who are the trusted sellers on this forum and how do I contact them about buying a Rolex?

who I trust and who you trust might be different. It will become more clear when reading and digging around a bit. Im not trying to be difficult, just trying to encourage you to find the ones you would be comfortable with. There is a lot of info in the who's who section.

doing due diligence will make you feel much better and secure than giving you a list.

have a look in the classifieds section. You’ll see the heavy hitters have A LOT of sales threads. Once you see which watch you like, check out the seller in the “Who’s who” section for feedback. Post count and membership sign up date doesn’t always mean a lot, but certainly a seller who joined up a month ago with 50 posts, simply has no history good or bad.

Personally I’d reach out to Takuya, lee2375, sohAIS, OCrolexguy.

You can send them private messages, or they’re email and phone numbers are usually
Listed in the sales threads.

Post count and tenure here mean everything! The guys that have close to 10 years and 30K+- posts are the guys who have been selling the most and have stellar reputations. Peruse the who's who sub forum and look at several pages and you will see who the best ones are. We can all offer you our favorites t9 deal with but ultimately your money and your decision.

Find a seller with a heavy post count and extensive history. Google search their name. Basic due diligence. The major sellers have an internet history a mile long.

I've used DavidSW for several watches, most recently a 116500 Daytona. Top quality, accurate to description watches and a flawless, *fast* transaction. There are others who can provide the same level of service, I'm sure.

Thanh Do, aka Takuya Watches is fantastic. I've acquired 6 new watches from him over the past 18 months. Very straight forward.

Another vote for David Williams in Orlando. I bought my 114060 through him/from him almost 3 years ago. The advantage for me going through David was a way better price (my outlay) than any dealer would do for me, but I didn't need the service a brick and mortar dealer provides<$$$>...I knew what I wanted and didn't need any hand holding the dealers offer. That's not a knock on brick and mortar dealers. I do my research and when I'm ready to buy...

Lots of members here use dealers. God bless them. The world needs both. Others may have better and different ideas

Many Trusted Sellers have, in the past year or so, taken advantage of their status to raise gray market pricing to an obscene level. Yes, I know this is a free market and if you don't like it, don't buy it but truth be told, some of the highest pricing, found online, is by our beloved Trusted Sellers............I've bought many watches from many of them...their status is well deserved.

Just had to get that off my chest.

You have already gotten good advice. I have to ask if you are a Michigan State fan, based on your moniker?

Well these guys have Hulks, BLNRs, and Daytona 500s in stock and for sale. Many AD's across the globe do not. So pricing is all a matter of capitalism! Do you want the watch now, or do you want to place deposit at an AD and maybe wait a year? You decide.

I understand but those same TS saved countless TRFs lots of money in the past with substantial discounts much better than the MSRP offered by ADs.

I guess you take the good with the bad.

It's just business.

If only we had trusted sellers in the U.K. It’s funny as there are hundreds of U.K. TRF members here but 99.9 percent of watches for sale are US only. I’ve reached out to a select few of the US trusted sellers but they’re not that interested in international sales, I found.

Another vote of confidence in Takuya...two flawless tranasactions. I've emailed with DavidSW, but never closed a deal, but people love him and he has the best stock.
