GMT with pink or magenta patina

I am relativity new to the Rolex game, having recently acquired an 114060. I love the vintage models, but know I am a long ways away from being educated enough to make a smart buying decision. Having spent a fair amount of time looking at various models and references, I am drawn to the GMT models that have aged in a way that makes the red bezel appear to be pink or magenta. My question is whether there are specific references that were more prone to this phenomenon. Once I know this, I can then spend some more time researching what I'll need to look out for with respect to those specific references. Any insights you have would be greatly appreciated.

Find examples with the patina/color you like and post pics of candidates. The color you're referring to is "fuchsia" for the purposes of this forum. Be prepared to pay a hefty premium for one of these inserts.

Thanks for the info. I'll definitely post here before I consider buying anything.

GMT Bezel inserts where the red turns to a fuchsia color are primarily found from the mid 1960s to around 1970. Of course you can find them on other GMTs besides the 1960s due to collectors love for the fuchsias and their proclivity to change them out in with later watches.

Want one...sit down first. Prices for mint examples are pushing $5,000 now. Scratched examples (based on the condition and beauty) are less, $2,000-$4000.

Here is one of mine from 1968.

Springer, thanks for the pricing information. Any opinion on whether it is generally easier or more cost effective to source a bezel and watch separately or buy the entire package?
