I just stumbled upon this photo online. Obviously, the 1973 fashion is simply awesome. I believe he is in London for the photo. I notice his wrist and think its a sub date. Can anyone with a better eye confirm this?

Nope, it's a 1680, lots of pics on the web, often has the winder undone, due to continuity ( re-setting the time correctly for the scene being shot )
