Fake or Replica Rolex watches spotting remarks

Hello,
I am new to Rolex watches world, and I am considering buying some Rolex watches "pre-owned of course" and I am thinking to start off with a date just or submariner "I might ending buying both eventually!", and in order to make sure that I am buying the genuine one I am starting this thread to discuss all the possible spotting remarks that one should look for in order to verify whether the watch in hand is genuine or not, for example I read that for all Rolex watches "old and new" should have the second hand "and I mean here the central main second hand" reaching up to or cover the second indices, otherwise if it is shorter and failed to do so it will be a sure sign that we are looking at a fake Rolex watch, is this a solid fact or is there any models that have a short second hand that is far away from the second indices by 1 or 2 or 3mm.
Thanks.
