Pics of my new 1601!

Hey guys! Just wanted to share a few pics of my new 1601 that came in this past Friday. Judging by the serial number, it should be dated mid 1970’s. Everything about this watch is exactly what I was wanting. In love with it!

Very nice! Looks very clean. A quick google using the SN/year database you will be able to find the exact year. Enjoy!

Check the inside of the caseback for month/year FWIW.

The watch looks great and the most important thing is that you have all you wanted in a watch, really nice

Nice looking watch even though the hands and dial are incorrect for the 1603 model...

So the dial is for a 1603 model? I had my dealer swap it for this dial, I really wanted the white dial, gold markers and hands. Like how it contrasts with the SS/white gold.

I just realized if it's a 1601 shouldn't it be a two tone so the dial and hands are correct just the fluted bezel and bracelet is wrong... 1603 everything would be correct minus the dial and hands....

Not correct, they made the 1601 in a stainless steel/white gold bezel configuration and a two toned yellow gold bezel/bracelet.

Regardless of being incorrect, it looks great. I'm not big on TT SS/YG models but the slight bit of YG here really works. I like it.

So many options... I would absolutely LOVE a GMT Master at some point.
