GMT master help
Hi all! A big shout out to the forum for helping me pick my 114060 over an Explorer about 2 years ago.
Now I’m here to pick the brains of those willing to lend a helping hand. I’m in the market for a GMT, and this particular one caught my eye. It’s a 1997 16700 model. I know it has a swapped out coke bezel. This one caught my eye as it is still under warranty from a pre owned watch website. Any thoughts ? Doesn’t come with box nor papers, but does have the warranty receipt. Thank you! Also, seller is asking for about 7500USD. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I am far from an expert...
Looking at the lug holes it appears to have been polished quite a bit. Also, I think the correct end links for that bracelet should be 502’s. I think the price may be a little rich considering you can buy a 16710 w/o boxes and papers in the $8k ball park-16700’s tend to lag behind the 16710’s.
As always I defer to the experts. Good luck, David |

Regarding the warranty, you need to check.
I have seen watches for sale in UK incorrectly quoting balance of previous seller warranties when they are not transferable. |

Looks like a decent watch for the price. I believe the phone camera is distorting the spring bar holes making it look worse than they are - which I have seen in the past.
Looks like an original and correct GMT Jubilee bracelet (1997 clasp code) and the correct end links for a late 16700. Get a correct "Pepsi" or black insert and you're good-to-go. Good luck!

Thank you all! It was in fact purchased 2 months ago on watchfinder. Just abit weary as there’s no local watchmaker handy, and I would have to wait till I get home( about an hour and a half’s drive) for my local watchmaker to crack the case open.

GMT master help
I think u did ok. The price is reasonable in today’s market. The case has been polished but still remain strong.
I blame it on autoconnect. |
