For all of the raving about the Glidelock clasp, I feel it’s too lengthy for comfort.

The length of the 5 digit sub clasp is perfect for me. I would love for Rolex to release a shorter version of the Glidelock.

I think it's perfect. I even purchased the 97200 bracelet with glidelock clasp and wear it on my 5 digit sub.

Interesting thought. I tend to agree, its definitely long. While I like the glidelock feature, I like the length of the clasp on my 6 digit GMT much more.

For those of us that have smaller wrists, the glidelock does wear rather large. My wrist is 7”, and the clasp covers virtually the entirety of the underside of my wrist. I definitely prefer the 5-digit clasp or the clasp on the 6-digit GMT with an easylink or the Milgauss with the same.

This is a very interesting thought
To me, it is PERFECT, and the reason I do not miss any more my 14060.

I think this is why the Oyster bracelet and the 126710BLNR and LNs are lagging the 126710BLRO release date. My instinct says Rolex comes out with an Easy Adjust clasp to replace Easy Link. 5 notches spaced 2mm apart rather than the standard 10 notches. Rolex put the BLRO on the jubilee to give incentive to move the remaining Easy Link clasps. Also, the jubilee gives a better fit, so most owners wouldn't complain retroactively.

I agree with you, it seems too big too me. Comfortwise thou I typically don't notice the difference between the rest of my collection

I don’t get the issue because it doesn’t affect how it wears. The inner part of the clasp that folds is still the same length as easy link clasps so it shouldn’t wear any different. It wears the same to me as my gmt.

I disagree, the glidelock is a nice feature to have. For divers must and for those who not diving it's still very useful to adjust the length during the day when wrist larger or smaller. I love it!

This is exactly right. I think the idea that it "feels" different is only in your head. If you're arguing that it looks too big on your wrist, that's valid. But since the blades of the clasp are the same it makes no difference how it feels.

I don't know what they call it but on my Explorer the easy link expansion (maybe?)

It's worthless... it can only expand to 5mm, not 4, not 3, not 2. Just 5... 5 is quite large. Totally worthless for me as in reality it becomes too loose.

What is your wrist size OP? I have 7.5" and wear a glide lock Sub daily. I don't even think about it.

My wrist Size is 7" and I think for the Sub, it is appropriate length.

I can adjust it so that I can go over a wetsuit, and you need that length to do it.

Perfect for me, more comfortable than a NATO and the glidelock is the most comfortable metal bracket I’ve ever worn.

Can’t go back to any others now, glidelock or nothing.

I am confused. I mean, remove a link or two and then enjoy the ease and flexibility of the quick adjusting glide lock. I wish they all had that feature.

I agree.

My wrist is 6.3" (16cm) and I would be hesitant to wear a watch with the glidelock clasp due to its length.

Some variant of Glide lock should be standard.

The glidelock is not too big for my wrist, but it looks huge to me. It’s a nice feature, but I’m fine with easy link and I’d be even finer with a smaller glidelock with half the adjustment and closer to the size of an easy link.

Of all my Rolex bracelets the most comfortable is an easy link with a hidden clasp with no fine adjustment.

my wrist is 6.5" and I wear DSSD. Have no problem with it. Love the possibility to adjust the bracelet depending on time of the day. Not to mention during the diving - irreplaceable

Yes, Easylink. And I agree - 5mm is too much. On my Sub, I usually only need to adjust it 2mm one way or the other on any given day. Even moving it 4mm is usually too much. A binary 5 seems excessive, and ultimately pointless. I think 904VT's idea of a reduced Glidelock for non-diver models makes a lot of sense.

Do you understand the difference between a bracelet and a clasp?

I agree, much prefer the clasp on the GMT, DJ and SkyD with the easy link. More elegant and one hand operation.
If a glidelock than all the way Deepsea style

Yup definitely too long, for my 6.2” inches wrist I find it very difficult to wear.

The glide lock is to big. On a smaller wrist all you have the watch head the long bulky clasp and a few links to show. Direct opposite the president bracelet! All perfect links and the watch head seamlessly brought together !

Could not disagree more with premise. The Glidelock is the perfect clasp. If they shortened it slightly to 5 notches of 2mm each, it should go on all Sports models.

A guy in another thread from today posted a picture of the GlideLock and Easylink side by side. The Easylink folding piece is actually longer than the length of the entire Glidelock. It's not my photo or I'd post it in here. The cover of the Glidelock is larger than the cover of the Easylink cover, but the overall length of the Easylink is longer than the overall length of the GlideLock.

For me personally, I absolutely love the GlideLock. So much so that I purchased the 97200 bracelet for my BLNR. It's perfect IMO. Sometimes the adjustment needs to be more or less than the 5mm of the Easylink for the perfect fit.
