Does anyone wear "dress" watches anymore?

Does anyone wear "dress" watches anymore?

Not talking about "sporty" watches that can certainly be dressed up - but dress watches that have a classic looking dial, relatively thin, and on a leather strap.

If so, what watches are you wearing or thinking of adding to your collection?

Pictures welcomed!

(For what its worth, I have a Subc, Speedy Pro, and Panerai 000 - and would like to add a "dress" watch to my collection.)

I like the Omega Seamaster Railmaster as nice looking dress watch.

Have occasionally worn this on special occasions ,but they just seem so out of fashion today . I think DD or DJ seems more like a dress watch these days to me .

Does anyone wear "dress" watches anymore?

In today’s more active owner population, many people don’t own a proper dress watch. But they do have a professional model that fits many situations short of full formal attire.

A DJ or DD on a strap is classic dress attire. But many would say a smaller manual wind model like the JLC ultra thin or similar PP is better.

For me I make do with an Omega and a DJ.

I like Glasshouse dress watches. But personal I would not wear dress watches. I related my self to the sport activities. So, naturally I wear Rolex sport models only. The watch close to dress is my BLNR.

I do wear dress watches. This one checks off the dress and PM category of my collection.

This one is a conversation piece:

I don't wear a dress watch, never did. Wore my Rolex DJ with a tux and now wear a white gold sub for all occasions. YMMV

Strangely the day of wearing appropriate watches for dress pretty much died with Bond wearing a sub with tux in the '60s. To wear one now is simply a style choice and lack any current adherence to dress code norms.

The only watch I have resembling a dress watch is my father's old '60s gold Bulova. It is more than adequate for any "dress" soirees I might have.
