Grey market insisting on removing sticker

My grey dealer is paranoid about those stickers. They refuse to sell a Rolex with them on. Why?

That's why I don't buy grey. I prefer to keep the stickers and throw the watch away.

Maybe they're afraid of losing their Unauthorized Dealer status.

They're worried about the silver market dealers flipping them for a profit. Profits can only be made once

Goodness what next in this crazy world of Rolex. Some greys add $500 to $1000 for stickers.

They pay a pretty extra penny for those stickers to assure the new owner of the new in box unworn status of the watch, and they don´t want to pay that extra penny again or have you competing with them. But, what do you care ? surely you are not thinking of reselling at a profit that would be impossible. You are buying to wear and even if you are only buying to admire the watch it looks better without the stickers !

probably because they are not supposed to get one with stickers in the first place but they do. So they can now sell it for more money. If they don't take them off before you leave with it then you can find out what AD is selling watches and leaving stickers on via the warranty card, and you have proof. Then the AD gets in trouble and doesnt sell watches with stickers on anymore. This makes the grey dealer sad as then they can only sell the watch for a normal premium and not a sticker premium.

And how much more of this sticker nonsense of forum must we endure, we are talking about sticky back plastic and not the crown jewels.

I don't know if they have a good reason. I think it's completely silly and I wouldn't buy from them if I was in the market!

Not much longer this the is the Rolex watch forum about the watches and the history of the RWC and not a sticky-back plastic forum.
