Opinions Please - Considering WG Daytona

I’ve come across this brand new but discontinued WG Daytona on brown leather strap at a substantial discount.
What do you all think of this model? Do you find it attractive? (The smudge look is from the plastic)

I don’t like it but a different strap might work.

Agree about not liking the strap combo, but it's a nice watch and you shouldn't buy it because we do or do not like it.

That is an amazing WG DAytona! I love the Slate Arabic Dial.

I think the Brown Leather is ok, but a Darker Leather would probably go better with the slate and Red hands...

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder - sometimes especially when the price is right

This one is definitely not my cup of tea. Even with a better strap I'd still pass but that's mainly because I am just not a fan of everything going on with that particular dial configuration.

I think this one is discontinued too and is TT, but by comparison it pops better than the one in the OP for an Arabic dialed Daytona ...

Yeah, I’m thinking even though a good deal something just seems off .... not sure what strap would look nice.

I like the dial, but I’d rather have a Daytona that comes on a bracelet.

Nice watch, but the strap is definitely taking away from it. Maybe a grey colored strap would go well with that dial? Or grey/red NATO strap? Black Oysterflex?

Hmm the slate dial is a lot of green in it which is the complementary color to red so I’m guessing that’s what the design team was going for. Since there’s a lot of color already going on I’d say a strap that is a more neutral brown or black rubber might work better.

I don't dislike it, but it's far from favorite Daytona configuration. It must be quite unloved being NOS with a significant discount, so opinions here will vary greatly.

Really the only question that matters is do YOU like it? How did you feel when they removed it from the case, and you put it on your wrist? If you're on the fence there are probably a lot of other watches at that price range to consider, and chances are one will really sing to you.

The OPs photo is terrible, but its a nice watch on the right strap variant. It would all depend on what the cost is.

I like it.

The nice thing about straps is that you can change them easily and frequently; they might even put on a different strap out-the-door.

+1!

Love the WG with slate Arabic dial but I needs either bracelet or darker strap.

I don’t really like it but bc I don’t like Arabic numerals on rolexes especially on the Daytona...I actually think the dial, hand, and strap colors look ok

I think if you really liked it, you would have bought it already, you wouldn't be on here looking for validation.
Your money, your choice, but since you asked ; I think the Arabic Racing dials are the best Daytona options, but the brown strap looks off to me ....I prefer this version:

but even better on a bracelet:

Love the dial.
Not a fan of the non-ceramic bezels.
Strap is okay but prefer bracelet.

With that said I think the watch looks nice. I'd wear it but in terms of buying the price would have to be an absolute steal.
