Anyone get discounts from Ad on stainless dj41s

I am going to look at a dj41 stainless steel jubilee band with smooth bezel blue face tomorrow. It’s kind of an odd piece because usually you either see the oyster with smooth or the jubilee with fluted. Now before I get any feedback I just want to say I want this watch with smooth bezel because it will be my work watch to alternate with my explorer 2. So I wanted a cheaper datejust. Now with that being said any members get discounts on stainless datejust? I was thinking maybe I could get one since it’s not the most desired datejust version and also this will be my 4th Rolex with this ad in 6 weeks. I have never asked for a discount? Thoughts from members ? I will also add this watch was ordered for someone else and they did not take it. I can’t remember the last time I saw a jubilee band with smooth bezel at a store . I see the other bracelet/ bezel options all the time. This is a different AD than the one that cold called me about panda and took the offer away so no issues with this place. I’m
Hoping other members have got discounts off these. It would be nice to get one being my 4th watch from this same AD

All my local dealers are on a no discount spell, but I'm in a big market so YMMV. If you've bought 4 watches in 6 weeks, I'd say you deserve some kind of deal. Call and ask what the best price they can give you is. And don't be shy about bringing up your purchase history.

I was thinking I would just mention it tomorrow. I know a discount on a pm piece is not a problem. I just wasn’t sure if any members were successful with discount

Yes, but not common these days. I’d try for 15%.

No discounts here because they don’t have a problem selling anything. But because of my purchase history they would do it at retail OTD. Try to see if they will bundle it with anything cool they might have on hand.

for a datejust, i would suggest buying from a gray dealer (if new) and or pre-owned. about the only time i would recommend funding a gray dealer.

my local ad (who has hooked me up last yr) isn't even allowed to offer discounts on the many PMs or SS DJ models.

Do you think even this combo is that hot ? Jubilee / smooth bezel. I have seen lots of dj In cases lately but never this combo. I was thinking maybe it wasn’t as popular but I could be wrong. It wouldn’t be the first time lol

The same watch is 7100 form David’s sw or 7400 from my dealer plus tax but I get my name on card and it’s another purchase with my AD which gives me more credit with them . My Ad said they can do 10-12 percent on pm for me depending on payment type

No but great point though. It is same business just another location. The one with the datejust I want is the location I normally buy from

On my hunt for my most recent DJ41 I had one AD refuse to budge and one took effectively 12% off. I have history with both. All depends on the AD.

Ask the AD to eat the tax, that would amount to a decent discount!

Jubilee/smooth bezel is my personal favorite combo. It’s the perfect watch imo

According to my AD here in NJ, the 41mm DJ with blue face, whatever bezel and bracelet, is right behind an SS sport model for demand. The fluted with jubilee being on top. Smooth with jubilee is kind of an odd piece. Nice though. Be interesting to see how you make out.

It is hard to find any decent selection, even on the DJ41. When I tried buying the blue DJ from a random AD, I was told no discount- did not buy it. Got a nice discount on a TT- from an AD that I had a relationship with. The DJ will not hold it's value like the professional models. You need to save money up front to cushion your loss down the line. Just be patient. The hype of the blue DJ will soon fade, like many others.

I called around and found at least 8 datejust 41 stainless in Texas. One place in Tyler had 3 of them alone. Just not the jubilee smooth bezel. Actually most of the
Dealers I called all had at least one datejust 41 in stock

Not even close. If they have it in stock, 10% is about right and what I received.

I went for a similar watch (dark rhodium/smooth DJ41) for the same reason as the OP (daily wearer).
I am in the UK and got no discount and the same watch is selling at the major grey at slightly over retail.
The blue is even more in demand.

But I know US may well be different.

Love the watch BTW. As a daily, I think it's a perfect combo....
