So it’s been a while. “INCOMING”

Like the title says, it’s been a while. I bought my last watch in November of 2017 (WG Daytona) and I’ve been pretty much satisfied.

Last year was the year of the guitar for me having bought three Fender Custom Shop Stratocasters and a couple of amps. Now that 2018 has come and gone, the old watch itch came back.

I wanted something in my collection with a white dial. I had quite a few to choose from but finally decided on the Explorer 2. I sent Thanh an email, wired the funds, and the watch arrived today. The white dial is sooooooo easy for these tired old eyes to see.

I want to thank my wife for putting up with my watch habit and also thank my friend Thanh for another smooth and effortless transaction.
It’s already getting dark here on the east coast so here are just a couple quick photos.

Nice watch indeed! Any photos of the Fender CS strats to match? :) Surprised there is no "Your guitar and your watch" thread.

This is an incredible incoming.

And I just got done talking about how I like 5 digits.

But I have such a love for this watch. So crisp and clean.

Enjoy it my friend. Enjoy every tick.

Great watch. Congratulations. The white dial with the fat blue lumes are a great combination. I wore mine today. Didn't want to take it off.

Excellent placement of the Polar with the Olympic White strat, and great guitar trio in general! I think a Polar Explorer ii was the first Rolex John Mayer bought, so it seems fitting for guitars. Based on the mint pickguards and rosewood necks, which appear to be slabs, I'm guessing all 1959-1962 range? Think I may need to start the watch and guitar thread...
