gmt II owners come in!
i have a 2004 gmt master II on the sides of the watch, the link from the band to the watch are hidden and on the 2006's you can clearly see the pin that connects the band to the watch, is this some thing new ?

I am slightly confused and assume your are talking about the lug holes in the case sides of the watch.I think the change over was in the Y series about 2002-2003.
As for the SELs they became standard in about 2001 on most sports models. The exceptions being the Seadweller which was one of the first to get the SEL and the No Date Sub which doesn't get the SEL at all. Aaron BTW. The above dates are estimates only and some others may be able to provide exact times and models. |

Remember just because a watch is BNIB and bought in 06 doesn't mean it is the current latest and greatest.
Even if a watch is an old model (production model) it is still a new watch. It might be old stock but still a new watch. I also beleive the Y series watches that didn't have lug holes had another letter in the serial # denoting it was a transitional model.(Some Y's had lugs and some did not. Aaron |
