Building 2 watch collection: OP39 Black and Polar 16570?

Hi everyone,

I'm planning to sell off a majority of my watches and doing some restructuring. I'll need a bit of funds in the coming year and have also just want to "simplify" my collection.

The one piece I'd like to keep is my Exp II 16570 Polar (it's a late serial with engraved rehaut and 3186 and I might have a hard time finding another one in the future). Thinking of picking up a black dial, dressier piece - perhaps a OP39 in Black / Rhodium or a DJ41? But also not opposed to keeping something from my current collection.

Interested to hear what you guys think!

My current collection:
  1. Rolex Explorer II 16570 Polar
  2. IWC Mark XVIII Le Petit Prince
  3. Omega Speedmaster Pro
  4. Nomos Tangente Gangreserve
  5. Tudor BB58
  6. Grand Seiko Snowflake SBGA211

I’d consider keeping the speedmaster, add some nice straps....agreed, explorer 2 will only become harder to find.

Would keep GS SF... as it is not Seiko anymore as you probably know ... they separated Seiko and GS logotype ... might get more value in future ... and for second dress piece I’d go for DJ flutted bezel on jubilee ... where 36 shall fairly do ... black dial and PM

I like the idea of keeping the 16570. If you were going to add another piece, I prefer the DJ41 for dressier occasions. That being said, it's a good bit more expensive than the black OP, so I could understand if you went that route. Both are good choices.

I'd keep the Polar and BB58 if I were you.
