Jubilee Bracelet for my GMT

Hey All,

Hope Sunday is treating you well - for those in the UK with children I'm sure you're looking forward to the next two weeks with your children nagging the brains out of you! #halfterm!!!

Just a quick one, RSC are asking £900 to fit a brand new Jubilee Bracelet to my watch (I currently have a 78790a oyster)

I was just wondering, would the general consensus be to purchase directly via Rolex (St James) or find someone on eBay/this forum?

Would the former option work out cost effective?

Thanks Guys.

Aren’t people required to trade in their current bracelet when going through the RSC? I may be wrong about that when using European RSC.

If so I would consider paying a little extra and buy from TS in FS and have the option of both.

Nope, Rolex do not want my oyster bracelet back and is not an option either.

I would definitely go the RSC route. Enjoy your time with the kids.

Looool - awesome way to capture the feelings of many in the UK, we’re half way through though. Brains are “nagged out” already. Great humor!

Cheers Buddy, on eBay the bracelets are going for about £400-£500, but on reflection I guess for £400 I'll have a brand spanking new bracelet with the correct end links.

The price is good at 900 pounds and you’ll get the “50” correct bracelet, which if bought elsewhere (grey) can be as much as 2000 pounds. You should do it and fast

I have both bracelets too

Less than half price of a DIY job, plus you get it fitted professionally? No downside to going through the dealer.

Why fast? Please don't say there's going to be a "waiting list" for bracelets too!

Haha No I meant so that the AD doesn’t change their mind, as that is a very good deal. 1. Correct jubilee 2. You keep the oyster. Not easy to do usually, especially here in the US. I would jump on that opportunity.

Nope not going through the AD, going via the RSC in London. My AD laughed at the option of me putting a coke insert on my GMT so I very much doubt he'd have the conkers to order me a jubilee.

I've always liked the Jubliee on the early GMT. Go for the new as the price difference isn't worth getting used.

It is £900 from Rolex directly but ask your local AD to order it for £850. That’s what I did. Received it within 24 hours.

Fully agreed ; I’ve been doing same ... keeping oyster and getting NOS jubilee gotten from eBay... might have taste to swap it once a while ... or simply post the oyster on eBay as it is in mint condition...

I just saw a guy at my local AD, went in with with his BLNR, wanted them to brush out his PCL's (WTF?!) and the AD talked him into ordering a jubilee bracelet. I told him I'd take the other bracelet off of his hands if he didn't want to deal with PCL's?! lol

How long ago was this? Rolex are saying the price is £750 + 20% VAT which is £900.

I'd be happy to save £50 and donate it to the forum

This was last November.

Emailed my AD Friday morning. It arrived Saturday morning by special delivery direct from Rolex.

For what it’s worth, I can confirm that RSC Toronto will sell a jubilee bracelet to someone who has a 16710, and they can keep their oyster bracelet. I asked them on Friday and they confirmed.

They will also supply a Coke or Pepsi Bezel for watches that did not come with an LN Bezel, and you can keep your old one, to be clear, you can keep both bezels. They will not supply an LN Bezel to a watch that was originally a Coke or Pepsi, or a Coke or Pepsi Bezel to a watch that was originally an LN. Just got the Jubillee and Pepsi Bezel. It’s like a whole new watch!

Thank you RSC Toronto.
