A picture from the back will do absolutely nothing to ensure authenticity. Purchase from an AD or have any prospective purchase authenticated by an AD before handing over payment. Anything less then that is a gamble...

Welcome to the forum. If you are looking at a certain watch, please post pictures and we will be happy to help. If you do not know what you are looking at/for, it may be best to stick with Authorized Dealers (AD's) as they have the best selection and are always going to be authentic. Best of luck.

It should have a clear back... otherwise it might not be real!

Are u Buying from an AD (Authorized Dealer)??? or GM in the back alley (Grey Market)??? Which Models??? Hope its a really good Deal if ur buying GM! There are so many copies these days unless you know what you are looking for you might get JACKED, if youre not going through and AD. I would Advise u to purchase from an AD if you dont know what a real one looks like, just to be on the safe side for your sake. I wouldnt want anybody to get JACKED by some Scumbag selling a FOLEX (Fake Rolex) out of the back of a truck.

You have come for help. I can tell from your question that you are way over your head. If you can have an AD check to see if they are authentic before paying the seller. If not you are better to buy from an AD.

Welcome to TRF mate. Can you be a bit more specific and tell us what Rolex are you after? Sorry but your post does not make much sense as it is. There is not just one Rolex model to use as a comparison to the one you are after and i doubt you will be able to tell whether a Rolex is real by just looking the back of it...at least without opening its caseback.

Welcome to TRF.

If you are unsure, then don't play with fire. Just walk into any Rolex AD and take your pick.

Good luck - JJ

Where are you buying it from? If it's new and coming from an authrorized dealer, then I wouldn't worry about its authenticity! If you are buying it elsewhere besides ad, then you have to take it to a reliable watchmaker to authenticate! Most watchmakers should be able to authenticate the watch for a small fee! BTW Welcome to this sometimes friendly forum!

I would definitely go Thru an AD if you're not sure. Which model are you looking to purchase? One thing the guys on this Forum have taught me is BUY THE SELLER first!!! Take your time and don't be impulsive these watches are expensive.

dude...these guys are tough......dont buy anything form some scum bag that you dont know anything about. If its too good to be true then it is. Buy from an Authorized Dealer..you know AD...or someone reputable from this forum. Otherwise, you will be scammed.

My experience...

I took a huge risk buying from a private party also. Luckily for me everything turned out okay. If I ever do it again. I would probably go through a AD, TRF member or at least get it Authenticated before the purchase. When I think back how stupid it was putting myself in danger like that. I coulda got scammed by a folex, robbed, or even better "Mclovin PUNCHED!"

The original poster has made just one introductory post and then vanished!!

Wouldn't it have been common courtesy to reply back to all the responses he's received?
